BMW F97/F98 X3M/X4M

The X3 M and X4 M are one car under two rooflines: the F97 wears the upright SAV body, the F98 the coupe, and everything behind the front axle is shared.

Under both is the S58, the same twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six that went on to power the M3, M4 and M2. It arrived here first: these were the engine's debut, ahead of the G80. In Competition trim it makes 503 horsepower, sent to all four wheels through M xDrive and an eight-speed automatic.

So we already know this engine intimately. We have not listed a part for the F97 and F98 yet, and until we do, the way onto this platform is a conversation.
